Around 2,000 years ago, Ymir Fritz obtained the power of the Titans and became the first Titan, the Founding.

Some say she was given her powers from "God", others claim she made a deal with the "Devil", and there are few who say she "touched the source of all living matter." Thirteen years later, she died and her soul was split into the Nine Titans, who were inherited by nine of her subjects, those people are called "Subjects of Ymir".
